SkillsUSA-Christmas-Toy-Drive-2

Buckeye Hills Career Center SkillsUSA members recently collected toys, facilitated by students in the Early Childhood Education program, for the God’s Hands at Work Community Toy Drive.

God’s Hands at Work is a non-profit organization that serves Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, and Vinton Counties in Ohio, as well as Mason County in West Virginia.

The goal of the SkillsUSA team was to collect 200 toys for area children for Christmas. The team exceeded their goal and collected over 300 toys.

The BHCC SkillsUSA students participated by planning the toy drive on campus at Buckeye Hills Career Center, delivering the toys to God’s Hands at Work, and organizing the toys for a shopping event where families could pick out the gifts they needed at no cost.
