The Senior SkillsUSA student leaders visited every program at Buckeye Hills Career Center to talk with students about the benefits of joining SkillsUSA.

During their visits, the officers explained how SkillsUSA membership helps students grow personally and professionally by following the SkillsUSA Framework, which focuses on three key areas:

• Personal Skills – including responsibility, adaptability, and work ethic
• Workplace Skills – such as communication, teamwork, and leadership
• Technical Skills Grounded in Academics – developing career-specific skills with a strong academic foundation

The officers shared personal stories from competitions, service projects, and leadership conferences, showing how membership builds confidence and opens doors to scholarships, networking opportunities, and real-world skill development.

Students were encouraged to sign up for SkillsUSA membership, attend meetings, and take advantage of the many opportunities available through the organization. The leaders also highlighted upcoming events, community service projects, and ways to earn recognition for their efforts.

By speaking directly with their peers, these senior leaders inspired the next generation of students to get involved, grow their skills, and become champions at work and in life.
