Program Description
The program prepares the graduate for employment in a variety of health care settings including acute care (hospitals), clinics, long-term care, and medical equipment providers.
The focus of a Respiratory Therapist is the respiratory (breathing) and cardiovascular (circulation) systems of the body. Some of the duties include providing breathing treatments, respiratory function tests, airways, and clearing breathing passage ways. The Respiratory Therapist can also deliver in-home care.
This program is provided in conjunction with the University of Rio Grande/ Rio Grande Community College and offers a two-year Associate Degree. Call for more information or go to www.rio.edu.
This is a 2-year Associate Degree Program in partnership with the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College.
Enrollment for the program is through the University of Rio Grande.
