    Program Courses:

    Medical Terminology & Anatomy

    Medical Terminology & Anatomy, 96 Hours

    This course uses a body system approach to teach students basic terminology and anatomy. Instructors use classroom instruction along with an Online Resource Center which uses self-paced activities to enhance the learning process.

    MS Office: Word & Excel

    MS Office: Word & Excel, 150 Hours

    This course covers basic skills for using the applications in Microsoft Office 2013 including Word, Excel, Power Point as well as Windows 7 and essential computer concepts.

    Software for Medical Management

    Software for Medical Management,  84 Hours

    This course uses a simulation approach to introduce students to a medical office software program. Key tasks involve patient demographics as well as scheduling, billing and overall collections in a medical office. Realistic exercises that cover the medical billing cycle from patient to payment.

    ICD/10 – CM & CPT Coding

    ICD/10 – CM & CPT Coding, 144 Hours

    ICD/10 CM and CPT are the code sets used by medical offices for insurance billing. This course is designed to instruct students in proper code assignment of both ICD/10 and CPT in the outpatient setting as well as basic insurance and billing principals.

    Medical Office Procedures

    Medical Office Procedures, 126 Hours

    This course is designed to instruct the student in the correct office procedures as well as skills needed to perform tasks in an office setting.  Students perform a 24 hour office observation at a local medical office to enhance the students learning experience and enable them to determine their area of interest.
