Power Lineman with CDL Class A Unrestricted

Program Description

This 700 hour program will focus on D100, D200, and D300 Series AEP curriculum with practical experience.  It also includes the CDL Class A Unrestricted which will allow over-the-road employment.  540 hours of instruction at Buckeye Hills, Monday through Thursday 4PM to 9PM and some Saturdays 8AM to 4PM.  The 160 hour CDL training will be contracted through Destiny Truck Driving Academy in Wellston, Monday – Friday beginning in March.

Before being considered for the program:

• A successful DOT physical and drug screening will be required.
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma, GED, or pending diploma for current high school students.
• Attend and pass pre-assessment physical at orientation
• At least 18 years of age
• Payment plan/financial aid
• Required WorkKeys scores of 4,4,4
• Other requirements as listed in the catalog or required from the Destiny Truck Driving Academy.

The course includes training in the following areas:

• 540 hours AEP-D Series Curriculum
• 160 hours CDL Unrestricted training

Credential Potential

AEP D Series Certificate, CDL Class A Unrestricted, American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10.
